Japanese Special Measure “COE Extension” due to Omicron Variant

On Dec. 28, 2021, Immigration Services Agency of Japan has declared the special extension of COE validity due to the impact of omicron variant.
This extension is to keep valid the COE of those who cannot enter Japan because of the temporally barring of the entry to Japan.
The details of the special extension are as shown in the following table.
The normal period of COE validity is 3 months as explained in the related post.
