  • Mr. Olupinla Samuel Oluwaseun (applicant’s husband) / Nigerian

Procedure
Application support of COE for “Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident”

Descriptions
Mr. & Ms. Olupinla are married only under Nigerian law, and not married under Japanese law.  Mr. Olupinla once married and divorced a Japanese woman, then re-married Ms. Olupinla in early 2022.  When Mr. Olupinla first contacted Office Sugita, only 10 months had passed from his divorce, and they re-married shortly after his divorce.  Re-marriage shortly after divorce can be suspected to be a fake marriage, which makes COE application much more difficult than the other cases.  Additionally, Mr. Olupinla had changed his job just before the application and his income was lower than before.
So that COE examiner would not have suspect on their marriage and so that the examiner would consider that his financial status is good enough to make living together with Ms. Olupinla, Office Sugita collected every kind of documents proving their conformity to legal requirements.  Additionally, Office Sugita made a document called “Statement of Reason for Application” to increase the probability of permission of her application. As a result, they successfully got COE for “Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident” without submitting additional documents to Japanese Immigration Services Agency.

Q. Why did you choose Office Sugita, and did not choose other immigration lawyers?
I chose Office Sugita because his specialization seems to suit our case.  I saw his profile in the web page of Office Sugita, and came to know that he handles only the cases of Japanese visa and COE.  That is why I thought that Office Sugita is the best choice for our case.

Q. How was the impression of Mr. Sugita when you met him for the first time?
I cannot give the concrete explanation, but I had a feeling that he can solve our problems and handle our case smoothly from his atmosphere.

Q. Could you repute service of Office Sugita?
I am really satisfied with services of Office Sugita.  On behalf of me, Mr. Sugita collected every document issued by Japanese governmental offices, submitted application documents to Immigration Services Agency, communicate with Immigration Services Agency, and received issued COE.

Q. How do you feel about service fee of Office Sugita?
It is not low priced, however, I think it is not expensive and is very reasonable considering his service.

Q. Please give your advices for non-Japanese people who have concerns/problems on Japanese visa.
My advice for them is to contact Immigration Lawyer SUGITA International Office and explain their problems to Mr. Sugita.  He will surely solve their problems.

Q. Do you want to introduce Office Sugita to your friends / family for visa application support?
Yes, of course!  Actually, I have introduced Office Sugita to some of my friends.

Q. What are your goals and dreams in the future in life in Japan?

I want to live in Japan together with my wife for good.  If we can have children and we all can live together in Japan, it is the best.

About our office

We appreciate your visiting our WEB site.

Immigration Lawyer SUGITA International Office specializes in only immigration affairs such as visa acquisition / change / extension, permanent residency, and employment of foreign workers.

We support our clients with the national certification called “Gyousei-shoshi (行政書士)” in Japanese. Person with this certification is permitted to engage in many kinds of procedures in the wide fields including constructor’s license, succession procedure of property, conversion of agricultural land, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), adult guardianship, etc. This wide permitted field is one of the strong points of the Gyousei-shoshi certification, however, our office intentionally engages in only immigration services.

Why specialize in only Immigration & International Services?

The reason why we handle only immigration affairs is because the services of immigration field affect clients’ lives much more directly and strongly than the services in the other fields.

For example, what would happen if application of extension of VISA that an immigration lawyer handles have been denied by Immigration Services Agency for the immigration lawyer’s lack of ability? First of all, the applicant can no longer live in Japan, which means the applicant must leave Japan and go back to his/her home country. In this situation, the applicant has to leave the company he/she works for, prepare new house in the home country, and take procedures on the school of his/her child. Additionally, the applicant also has to find job in the home country. Those procedures must be taken in really short period if the application is denied.

This kind of occasion can raise fatal problems on not only the applicant him/herself but also the people around such as applicant’s family and employer. This can lead to make their lives instable.

If we handle other fields in addition to the immigration field, we cannot spare enough time to keep sufficient knowledge and know-hows in each field or keep learning the latest legal information, which can lead to losses for our clients like the abovementioned situation.

To prevent abovementioned fatal disadvantages on our clients’ lives, we have decided to handle only immigration & international services as “a professional who is always familiar with the latest circumstances”.
